TECNOFER recycling equipment  & machinery

Tecnofer was established in 1976 as a manufacturer of equipment for plastic recycling. Since that time, they have become recognized as a leader in the field of washing systems and components. High quality and reliability are hallmarks of Tecnofer's innovative product line.

Tecnofer is located in Northeastern Italy, an area known for superior manufacturing quality and technology. The location is convenient to Bologna regional airport, as well as Verona (50 miles), Venice (75 miles), and Milan (140 miles).

Tecnofer manufactures complete wash systems in sizes ranging from portable units capable of washing 200 pounds per hour to systems producing more than 5000 pounds per hour of clean plastic. The smaller systems come with standard configurations while the larger systems are very customizable, based a various types and levels of contamination.

Standard systems include:

Mini - The Mini is a small footprint, platform mounted, recycling system for lightly contaminated plastics. The system is composed of a grinder, auger, and dynamic centrifuge, and cyclone.

Ecoblock  - Compact, mobile, platform based washing/recycling lines. Capacity* from 175 to 1000 pounds per hour.

Comby 940 - This unit pre-cuts and pre-washes heavily contaminated film. Capacity* 1500 to 2000 pounds per hour.

Custom systems are comprised of the following components:

Bale Opener (DB) - A low speed rotor separates the baled material and controls output.

Trommel (TR) - Used in pre-treatment, available in three types
Bale Opener (TRS) - Used to break apart bales of flexible material and control output.
Sieving Trommel (TRF) - Separates small contaminants from rigid or flexible material.
Water Trommel (AT) - following grinding/shredding, for highly contaminated material.

Floating Tank (VADS) - Precuts and separates rigid plastics from heavy contaminates.

Washing Tank (VL) - Made in stainless steel, uses density to separate plastics from contaminants.

Horizontal Centrifuge (LO) - Available in two configurations; wet for heavily contaminated plastics and dry for less contaminated plastics.

Screw Press (CP) - Mechanically dries plastic film by squeezing action, very energy efficient.

Dynamic Centrifuge (CD) - Dries flexible and rigid plastic material.

Static Centrifuge (CS) - Used in conjunction with the dynamic centrifuge to increase drying efficiency.

Hot Treatment Unit (MTC) -  Removes glue from PET flake and separates thin gage PET and polyolefin residue.

MELTEC (MEL) - blends and agglomerates flexible material while drying the product. Use of the MELTEC reduces electrical power consumption and the dust created with traditional dryers.

Film Storage Silo (SFO) - Storage and outlet dosing of ground flexible material. Made in stainless steel.

Ground Storage Silo (SMC) - Storage and dosing of rigid material.

Vertical Mixing Silo (SMV) - Combines storage with mixing to provide a uniform product at the outlet. Available in painted carbon or stainless steel

Ancillaries:
Conveyor Belts - Available in three types, light duty, heavy duty, and metal.
Augers - Convey material to the various components.
Electric Fans - Used in pneumatic conveying.
Star Valves - Discharges material into pneumatic conveyor.
Cyclones - Used in pneumatic conveying to separate the air from the conveyed material.
Hot Air Generators - provides hot air for drying. Placed before the drying system.
Drying Systems - Removes residual moisture from washed plastic material.
Electrical Panel - Controls each phase of the system by PLC.
